Arrow has recently purchased a Brown & Sharpe Global Image 9208 CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) 36" X 79" X 31" Envelope with PCDIMIS CAD++ Version 4.0. This new quality capability allows Arrow to certify tooling and parts in-house. It also enables Arrow to reverse engineer parts and tooling.

There is much news to report from Arrow as we begin 2005 (Our 35th Year)!

• In November, Gene Welti joined us as SENIOR PROJECT & DESIGN ENGINEER which enables Arrow to provide the complete TOOL DESIGN service that several of our customers have been asking for;



• Gene is using Arrow's first seat of UNIGRAPHICS; and



• In December, Arrow added a Haas VF-9 4th Axis VERTICAL MACHINING CENTER with 84" x 40 " TRAVEL, a 50 TAPER spindle and a Complete PROBING SYSTEM to our 6 other CNC vertical millers. It is great to now be able to offer this exceptional machining capacity to our customers.

A sad time for our Arrow family was at the death of our friend and co-worker, Michael Gallo, V.P. on July 1, 2004. Mike was very talented, deeply committed to Arrow and a great friend to all of us. He provides inspiration to us as we advance into 2005...

The year 2004 was both a busy and eventful one at Arrow. With our top-notch team of employees, we frequently exceeded even our own expectations and were instrumental in helping our customers succeed in their most demanding challenges. With the major enhancements to Arrow's uniquely strong capabilities and facilities, we can provide our customers with even wider-ranging services in 2005!

The acquisition of an Enshu VMC-650 with a 51.2" X 25.6" travel and a #50 spindle taper has increased the machining capacity in our CNC department.

This year we have added many new areas of industry to our portfolio of customers. During 2002 Arrow has been involved in projects for businesses as wide-ranging as:     

In June 2001, Arrow purchased a Haas SL-20 CNC turning center. Arrow acquired this second CNC lathe in response to increased demand for production runs of CNC turned parts. It is equipped with a 6-foot bar feeder, and its 8-inch diameter chuck is interchangeable with a 5C collet for smaller work.

Updated 4/10/02 9:17 AM In September 2001, Arrow purchased a Haas Super Mini-Mill Machining Center. This, now our eighth CNC machining center, has a 12in. by 16in. table, and a 15,000 rpm high-speed spindle. In order to take full advantage of its high-speed machining capability, we have tooled up with Grade 2.5 and better balanced tooling. Arrow is currently manufacturing high definition molds for medical applications, some of which require cutters diameters as small as 0.010in. Inspection of these molds is done with the assistance of a newly acquired microscope capable of magnifications as high as 100 times.
